Real-World Evidence · Research and analytics

Bring everyday care into the evidence conversation.

Support real-world evidence (RWE) initiatives with patient and HCP insights, evidence-gap assessment, and analysis of suitable healthcare data.

We help medical and research teams understand care journeys, access barriers, and unmet needs, and identify where additional evidence could inform their next decision.

Understanding RWE

From real-world data to a focused research question.

Real-world data describes health status and healthcare delivery in routine settings. Sources can include electronic health records, insurance claims, patient registries, and suitable patient-generated data. RWE is the evidence derived from analyzing these data; the FDA definition focuses on the use and potential benefits or risks of a medical product.

The source alone does not establish the strength of the evidence. The research question, study design, data quality, and analysis determine what conclusions can be supported.

How we support your team

Research and analytics around your evidence needs.

Evidence-gap assessment

Review existing research, clarify unmet information needs, and translate broad priorities into focused questions and a proposed research scope.

Patient and caregiver research

Explore experiences, treatment burden, support needs, and barriers through interviews, surveys, and journey research. These findings can help shape study questions and interpret the context around clinical data.

HCP perspectives and care pathways

Investigate treatment decisions, referral patterns, clinical workflows, and barriers to care through research with healthcare professionals.

Data assessment and descriptive analysis

Assess suitable, authorized datasets for coverage, completeness, and relevance. Describe populations, patterns, and differences using methods appropriate to the data and agreed question.

Research synthesis and communication

Connect findings across sources into reports, visualizations, and evidence summaries, with clear methods, limitations, and implications for further research.

Collaboration with medical teams

Define a research or analytical workstream within a broader evidence program. Responsibilities, specialist requirements, and review processes are agreed with the project team before work begins.

Potential project questions

What does your team need to understand?

These examples illustrate possible collaborations, rather than completed RWE studies.

Women's health

Where do patients encounter delays or unmet support needs across fertility, endometriosis, or menopause care?

Access and care journeys

How do geography, affordability, and referral pathways shape access to care in a defined population?

Evidence planning

Which patient and HCP questions remain unanswered, and what data or additional research would help address them?

Project approach

Define the question. Assess the data. Document the evidence.

Plan and assess

  • Agree on the intended decision, population, and research question.
  • Review available evidence, data access, and source suitability.
  • Define methods, deliverables, and specialist responsibilities.

Analyze and interpret

  • Check data quality and document analytical choices.
  • Separate reported experience, observed patterns, and clinical outcomes.
  • Report limitations and questions requiring further study.

Scope and collaboration

Match the work to the intended use.

Patient insights and market research can support an evidence program, but do not on their own establish treatment effectiveness or safety. Clinical outcome studies, causal comparisons, and regulatory submissions require a separately agreed study design and appropriate clinical, epidemiological, statistical, and regulatory expertise.

Data access, privacy, ethics review where applicable, and a suitable analytical environment are defined before any transfer or analysis. For an initial discussion, share a description of your question and available sources through our contact form.
